Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 August 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how RK Resize (“we”, “our”, the “Service”) handles information when you use our tools and website. Our core tools are designed to work client-side (in your browser) so that your files generally do not leave your device.
Table of Contents
1) Scope
This Policy applies to our website and client-side tools (e.g., NSDL/UTI photo/signature resize, PDF compress/unlock). It does not apply to third-party sites that we link to, or to files you share with third parties.
2) Data We Collect
- Files You Open in the Tools: Images/PDFs you select are processed in your browser memory/canvas. By default, we do not upload your files to our servers.
- Contact Details (if you message us): If you send us an email or submit a contact form, we receive the information you provide (name, email, message, attachments).
- Basic Technical Info: Standard web server data (e.g., basic HTTP requests for HTML/CSS/JS) may be logged in aggregate for uptime/security. We do not purposely collect sensitive personal data.
3) How We Use Information
- Run the Tools: Perform client-side operations like resizing or compressing.
- Support & Communication: Respond to your queries or feedback you send us.
- Security & Reliability: Maintain uptime, detect abuse, and improve stability.
4) Local Storage, Cookies & Logs
- Local Storage: We may store non-personal preferences (e.g., last used quality/scale) in your browser’s localStorage to improve convenience.
- Cookies: We do not set tracking cookies. If we ever introduce analytics, we will update this section.
- Server Logs: Our static assets may be served via CDNs that keep routine logs for performance and security. These logs do not contain your files.
5) Third-Party Libraries & CDNs
We load some libraries from trusted CDNs (e.g., pdf.js, pdf-lib, Tailwind). These providers may collect minimal technical data (like your IP) per their own policies. Please review their terms/privacy independently.
6) Sharing & Disclosure
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share your files with third parties; processing happens locally in your browser.
- We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or to investigate abuse.
7) Data Retention
- Files: Not uploaded to our servers; we do not retain them. Generated downloads exist only in your browser until you save them.
- Messages: Emails/contact submissions are kept as long as needed to address your request and for basic record-keeping.
8) Security
We design our tools to minimize data transfer by doing processing locally. Still, no method of transmission or storage (including client-side processing) is 100% secure. Use our tools on trusted devices/browsers and keep your system updated.
9) Your Rights
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold (mainly applies to communication you send us). Because we typically do not store your files, those rights usually concern your emails or form submissions. To exercise rights, contact us via the Contact page.
10) Children’s Privacy
Our Service is not directed to children under the age legally defined in your jurisdiction (e.g., 13). If you believe a child provided personal data to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
11) Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
12) Contact
